Liberal Democrats in Ealing Southall have selected local campaigner Nigel Bakhai, our candidate in the General Election two years ago, to challenge Labour in the Ealing Southall by-election.

Dudden Hill May 25

Well done to the LibDem team and helpers working on the Dudden Hill council by-election in Brent – we won by 85 votes. Congratulations to Cllr Pawan Gupta who is therefore re-elected.

Primetime crime Apr 27

Regular readers will recall that I shot a crime-themed video for the last Liberal Democrat party conference.

I was pleased to see, when I got a copy of Tuesday’s party election broadcast, that a little bit of the footage I shot for that on my travels around the country made it onto primetime telly on BBC One, BBC Two and ITV1.
