I deliberately didn’t phrase my question to say there were only three guest stars in case I missed anyone – and he’s one I’d forgotten about. Yes, very good: Peter Wyngarde was indeed in Doctor Who – in the Peter Davison serial Planet of Fire.
That still leaves the other two I was thinking of, one of whom was in the director’s cut of The Wicker Man, and the other of whom was in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
