I almost missed the fact that today is National Poetry Day<\/a> – thanks to Gary Gillatt<\/a> for the reminder. Long time readers will know that each year I post an “original” poem (see 2004<\/a>, 2005<\/a>, 2006<\/a>, 2007<\/a> and 2008<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Having been caught unprepared, this is what I’ve knocked up, inspired by my new mobile.<\/p>\n

iFone<\/strong><\/p>\n

So I touch touch touch
\nOn the screen screen screen
\nIt’s a bugger bugger bugger
\nTo keep clean clean clean<\/p>\n

My old phone phone phone
\nWas much blockier blockier blockier
\nI’ve had six six six
\nYears of Nokia Nokia Nokia<\/p>\n

And thus i i i
\nHave to grapple grapple grapple
\nWith the style style style
\nOf an Apple Apple Apple<\/p>\n
