Mapping ancestry
4 July 2005 - 3:54:16pm Using the new Google Maps interface, I've produced a map of my ancestry covering five generations. The red marker is me; my parents are yellow, my grandparents green, my great-grandparents blue and my g-g-grandparents purple. The four lines trace four particular descendencies: the blue line trace the Howells line back to Gwynfe; the turquoise line to a Baily from Newton St Loe; the red line to Oxfordshire Pinnocks; and the green line to a Blackler in Romsey, via Lancashire. (You may have to reload to see all the lines and points.)

I'm also playing around with the user functions, which would allow family members to login and access the restricted parts of the site. No timescale yet for implementing this feature fully. Will
