In the three years plus I’ve been running this blog, it’s never previously had an About page, and now I come to rectify that I’m slightly stumped about what to put here.
No geek is an island is a personal blog by me, Will Howells. It covers TV, film, music, politics, current affairs, technology, Doctor Who and whatever else happens to take my fancy.
Posts come in fits and starts, and I have been notably less prolific this year. This is mainly because I’ve blogged about politics less as a result of working in politics (which is ironic), but also because short, inconsequential thoughts that previous ended up here now tend to find their way onto Facebook or Twitter. Needless to say, the views expressed here shouldn’t be taken as the views of my employers, past or present.
I maintain various other blogs as part of my job, and occasionally still post on Liberal Democrat Voice.
My change of jobs has also meant I’ve had less time to keep up with the non-political blogs I used to read regularly. My sidebar still links to these as recommendations and in an attempt to prompt me to start reading them again.
I don’t have a comments policy as such, beyond blocking spam. I do reserve the right to delete comments on a whim though.
I live and work in London, having previously done the same in Scotland and Leeds.
