Bleak House

Filed under: Geeklife, TV — Will @ 12:12 pm

I really enjoyed the Beeb’s Bleak House adaption, which ended last week. The finale was a little disappointing - nice characters dying, villains not getting their comeuppances - but perhaps if it had been an entirely happy ending, tying up all of the loose ends, I’d be saying it was unrealistic.

There’s a good summary on Lunartalks. Shake me up, Judy!

  7. I disagree, I thought the ending very soppy. Dickens is always a happy endings merchant in my experience. The ‘mini-Bleak House’ was such a gooey nice touch. She married her doctor, and the grasping wantoness of that young ward of Jarndice was humorously repaid!
